The ServiceMax Community has a wealth of documents, discussions, resources, and assets. These are available to different audiences, with different permissions across this platform. Review this document to see who can see the resources and details across the community.

 

The community is like an in-person business collaboration session. What would you would say on stage during a recorded public address? What would you be able to share during a birds of a feather break out session at a conference? What details would you divulge in a private meeting?  These are the questions to ask yourself as you share and post and interact in this community.

 

 

 

Permission Levels

There are three different levels of privacy across this community, set up as a part of your profile

Community Permissions: Like a Public Address

Visible to the Public, Any Registered Member can post comments, vote in polls, share, rate, etc!

 

The comments you share in these areas, and everything in posted in these areas should be OK to be shared with anyone!  Consider your posts like a public address - your posts can help build your reputation as a field service expert! You can link to these areas from LinkedIn, your website, emails, and other assets, and share them with people who can access them without signing in. What would you share in a keynote address? What would you post on a LinkedIn article or status update? These areas are great for sharing thought leadership in the field service industry, and ideal for posting non-sensitive details and thoughts on your work and your team.

Community Permissions: Like a Peer Conference

Exclusive Members-Only access to Product Discussions: Visible only to ServiceMax Customers, Partners, and Employees

 

Network and Share is like a virtual, 24/7 peer conference. There are a diverse set of members from across the ServiceMax family, including other customers, consulting partners, technology partners, and the ServiceMax team. You can share your experiences more freely than you might in the public domain, knowing that everyone is working towards the same goal of success in field service and best practices leveraging ServiceMax solutions.  Don't share your company secrets!  Just like a peer conference (dreamforce , Maximize 2015, etc) you are focused on collaboration!

Community Permissions: Like a Private Meeting

Private areas accessible only to a few choice community members. Click the People Tab in the Group or Space to see who specifically has access. You can search that area to check if specific people are enabled.

 

Some customers are partnering with our professional services organization in private, secret rooms. They can share sensitive details as they implement programs and be confident that their details are secure. Customer collaboration groups like our ServiceMax Community Champions enjoy exclusive access to a private space to collaborate.
