Under Auto Entitlement settings, there is a setting to disable auto-entitlement if multiple warranties and/or service contracts are found. However, this setting only applies if more than one service contract or warranty exist. i.e. if there is one Warranty and one Service Contract, the auto entitlement is not disabled even if the setting to disable auto entitlement for multiple warranties/or service contracts is checked
The settings should be more extensive so that you can define if the Work Order is entitled based on available contracts and warranties if more than one exists:
Auto entitle against Service Contract if only one contract (and no Product Warranty) found
Auto entitle against warranty if only one Product Warranty (and no Service Contract) found
Set to Not Covered if no contract or warranty found
Manual Entitlement Required – more than one contract/warranty found, user to select entitlement
Also, it should be possible to add the dimension of Work Order Type into the automation, ex. Preventive Maintenance or Training Work Orders would never be auto-entitled against Product Warranty.
