Adding a photo to IP via Installed Base app

We are in the process of testing Winter 16 and to leverage the Installed Base app on the iPad, but we have noticed you cannot attach a photo to the Installed Product (asset) via Installed Base app.

Currently we edit IPs and attach photos against them, however using the Winter 16 APP seems to disable this feature because asset management is done via Installed Base app.

Is anyone using Installed Base app? and attaching photos against the Install Product? Or Any feedback on Installed Base app would be useful

Hi Adriano Vega​-

You're correct that enabling ProductIQ on IPad disables the SFM/Actions that edit/update the IP record, including the ability to attach a photo to the IP record because all the asset management is done via ProductIQ. Currently ProductIQ iPad users still have the ability to attach the photos against the Work Order.

We have are planning to enable both syncing and uploading of attachments via ProductIQ in the roadmap for calendar year 2016. This functionality would apply to both the Installed Product and the Location object.

Thats good to here as its a feature would be so useful. Any ideas if this will be planned for Spring 16 or Summer 16 releases ?

We are currently targeting the attachments enhancement for the Winter'17 release - planned for toward the end of the calendar year. Will keep you posted with any updates regarding this feature as we get closer to development for that release.
