Adding attachments on iPad in Winter 15

Jump to solution

I thought I saw somewhere that in Winter 15 a Tech can add attachments to a WO on the iPad.  Is that correct and if so, does anyone have the instructions on how to do that?  Thx

Yes, a technician can add attachments of type photo or video to a Work Order record or any other record on the iPad. This is true for Winter 15 as well as older versions of iPad app. For details, please refer to section Upload Attachments in Winter 15 or Summer 14‌ online help.

Detailed help documentation of ServiceMax Winter 15 for iPad app can also be downloaded as a PDF file using this URL: http://userdocs.servicemax.com/ServiceMaxHelp/Winter15/en_us/Content/iPadAppUserGuide.pdf.

Please check the PDF Guides tab in the Winter 15 online help page for other PDF guides (SFM Processes, Mobile Apps Configuration).

A word of caution on this, you need to create an event for the document to be seen on the iPad. That is not made clear in the user docs.

Colin Jolliffe,

The need for event to be available for the parent record of an attachment, for the attachment to be downloaded and displayed in the mobile device, is called out in the user docs in the sections listed below, under Mobile Apps in ServiceMax > How to configure your Mobile App:

Meenakshi.
