The information regarding third party app integration is not relevant to customers and should not have been put into the Release Notes. The information was intended for ServiceMax ISV partners. Customers should not contact ServiceMax support about this issue. To further clarify:

In iOS 9, Apple improved security by preventing 3rd party apps from being launched from an iOS app unless explicit authorization was given by the iOS app author - in this case ServiceMax. In other words, ServiceMax has to authorize third party apps to integrate with our iOS apps. ServiceMax only authorizes apps from certified ServiceMax ISV partners as each one goes through an evaluation process to ensure enterprise grade product standards are met.

In iOS 9, Apple changed security requirements for launching an app from another one. For a app to be launched from within the ServiceMax iPad via a custom URL, the

app information must be included in the plist of the ServiceMax app. In Spring 16, ServiceMax partner apps were enabled in the plist.

Apple apps that are included in iOS and cannot be removed are not considered 3rd party apps so they do not need to be explicitly enabled.
