Go 1.7.0 - Hide Inactive SFM Wizard Steps on Actions menu

Jump to solution

We've seen a request to remove a new piece of functionality introduced in the 1.7.0 release.  Since the enabling and disabling of SFM's/actions were a check and balance for the technicians, our client has asked if this enhancement can be removed from their technicians mobile visual.  Is anyone aware if this an available setting that can be toggled by an admin?

@jaydglenn  - There is no configuration setting today.

Can you explain why this should be controlled by a configuration?  All this Show / hide steps is doing is only a UI visual treatment to the Wizard steps that are already active or inactive.

Also, who is the customer please?

The request is due to new OCM and potential confusion.  CTE has trained their technician base to look for their sequenced actions and when not lit up understand what is yet to be completed.  If the actions are hidden, there isn't a visual prompt for next steps.

@jaydglenn  Ok understood.

Does it make the situation any better since all steps are always shown by default?  They get hidden only upon an explicit user action - which the user probably wont do. And even if he does, he knows the consequences?

Agreed on the default being a silver lining!  Thanks Archana!
