How to make fields blank in Winter 15 iPad app?

We have line qty fields that are coming up with 0.0000 in Winter 15 iPad app where it didn't do this in previous versions of the iPad app.  This will require our techs to delete the whole field before typing in the whole number or cause them to enter the wrong qty.  How can this be fixed? This is fixed in Spring '15.  Defect # SMX015681 "Numeric fields were defaulting to 0 instead of blank value".

I've been advised this will be in the next Winter 15 SP release that will be in the App Store any day now.
