We've been looking into the same things: leasing vs buying, which MDM software to use, iOS vs Android tablets, etc., for about the same number of techs, maybe a little more. We'll be making a decision in the next month or so; once we have, I'll share some of what we learned.
I've recently looked at iPad rental, but that is on a short term basis, not leasing. Maybe Harriet Brenner has some insight.
As to MDM we're working with MobileIron currently and they're likely to be the first we partner with. AirWatch is also a likely second choice but we're not as far in discussions with them.
Apple has a great leasing program because the iPad and iPhone products have
a very high residual value which means the leasing price is low... And at
the end of the lease you can get a new ipad... none of this being stuck
with old technology. There are also trade in options for existing ipads (
again with the high residual value) What size company is it ? That will
determine the channel to use - (Apple Enterprise Direct, Apple SMB insides
sales, Apple channell...) Let me know !
Well said. When we last discussed this showed to be a great way to keep up on the iPad's latest release and keep your expenses lower that owning and having to pay full cost for an upgrade. This is a great option for our customer who are using iPad to research.
We opted to purchase the iPads from Verizon it was a great investment and a great resource for our team.
