In the new application, ServiceMax Go, the default quick action to create a new event in the calendar window (the '+' button in the bottom right corner), cannot be changed. It currently uses a standard SFM Transaction that it is not possible to edit. We tried to remove it from the SFM Mobile Permissions and in the SFM App Permissons, but the default SFM still opens up when clicking in the button.
However, in the FSA App, if we only leave our custom SFM in the SFM App Permissions visible in the mobile, the default quick action (in FSA, its a button labeled "New Event") opens the correct SFM we chose.
This should also be supported in ServiceMax Go, inclusively being able to choose which SFM to work with.
What is the underlying problem do you intend to solve with this idea?
Address business requirements when creating an Event, filling in custom fields.
How is the problem being addressed today, if at all?
To be as transparent as possible, we were unable to fit our previously planned calendar improvements into our upcoming 1.6 GA release. We still plan to have these improvements in the future, but I don't have anything concrete to share about when this will be released.
We've attached this community thread to the specific task around configuring the Quick Action (+) in our backlog, so when we have more to share we can update you and the others here.
Thank you for the update @darrin just to advise, this is one of the main reasons we are not moving from FSA to GO. We plan to move all our engineers in the EU to GO but we cannot do this until this floating + button has customization ability or can be optionally displayed. We await feedback when we can get this onto the list of changes for a future release.
Hi @darrin are we any nearer to being able to update this idea? It is desperately needed, if we cannot remove it then at least customize what it 'creates' would be a bonus. We are putting 150+ people onto GO and telling them to not use something doesn't have the same affect as physically removing them from using it.
