Easily reschedule calendar events on Android phone mobile app

It would create a greater user experience and encourage user adoption by technicians and engineers who are using the ServiceMax Android phone mobile app if they could easily reschedule calendar events. Today this is more easily accomplished on the other apps such as for the iPhone or iPad. On the Android phone mobile app, technicians must tap and hold a calendar event, select 'Edit Appointment,' manually enter a start date and time, manually enter an end date and time, and then save. This is a cumbersome process. On other apps, we've seen the ability to drag and drop events on the calendar which is much faster and easier to do and less error prone. If it had to be this kind of manual process, at least having the end date and time auto fill based on the entered start date and time value and the event's current duration would be helpful.

What is the underlying problem do you intend to solve with this idea?
Accidentally extending or shortening the duration of events that are edited by the technician from the Android phone mobile app calendar. Making the reschedule process less cumbersome and a better user experience.
How is the problem being addressed today, if at all?
Technicians are being forced to do the elaborate edit appointment process which is error prone and a lot of manual steps.

We are working on a major update to our iPhone and Android phone app. Ability to reschedule appointments and events from iPhone/Android Phone will be included in the update.

This is great news! Do we know which release this is targeted for and if this is something we can communicate with customers?

No definitive target date I can commit to but we are targeting 1H 2018. I suspect we will have a fairly functional app by Winter 2018 timeframe. In terms of functionality, yes you can communicate to the customer. We are planning to have some demo that involves to new app under development at Maximize.
