Currently, if a user is submitting too many records at once via Mobile - either from using Airplane mode or bad cellular reception - it can trigger the:
SOQL LIMIT ERROR - 101 too many queries
Would be GREAT if this soql error caused all records currently in the sync batch to go to the SYNC CONFLICTS page!!
This would allow the Technician to re-release the records in smaller batches [using Hold, Retry options] versus the current status of being stuck in failed data sync status and doing a Reset App and re-entering all information.
Would increase support for:
-Users using Airplane Mode - which avoids the "sync stacking issues" on mobile, allows tech to enter information as quickly as possible without issue
-Automated processes using Apex - reducing need for extra Tech actions, automation = optimization
We currently have "record change limits when in Airplane Mode/Bad reception area" - but as im sure other customers in FS know, we can only control Technician behavior by so much, hard enough to get them to do regular syncs
Myself and the field would be so very grateful!!
[currently on ServiceMax iPad - v15.20.036]
What is the underlying problem do you intend to solve with this idea?
Need to perform reset app and lose un-synced information.
How is the problem being addressed today, if at all?
