ServiceMax GO - Explore search criteria

ServiceMax GO - Explore search criteria

Currently the search criteria when using 'Explore' is 'Contains'. Previously with the Smax Classic app we had the option to change this between 'Contains', 'Exact Match', 'Starts With', and 'Ends With' at the point of searching.

Having this functionality would provide quicker and fewer returns.

Totally agree, would help to achieve feature parity with the old Classic app.

We are planning to enable user to perform "exact" search by placing quotes around the search criteria when executing the search. This enhancement is planned for v1.6 release of ServiceMax Go.

Ultimately it would be great if it were "Google like" in that it will return results sorted by relevancy.   This would also allow that you could put in search criteria that matches to multiple fields.  So if I want to find all parts name "XXXX" belonging to technician "Bob" then I could just put in the search "XXXX Bob" and it would match against separate fields.  Results matching both would display first and other partial matches later.

Could the functionality be extended to lookups to show recent items so that the user doesn't always have to search for a common part, but due to the sort order needs to enter a value to return a result?
