Document Archive/User Docs Unavailable

I noticed a while ago when searching for the user docs for Winter 15 that I kept getting the following error:

HTTP Status 404 - /ServiceMaxHelp/Winter15/en_us/svmxhlp.htm


type Status report

message /ServiceMaxHelp/Winter15/en_us/svmxhlp.htm

description The requested resource is not available.


Apache Tomcat/7.0.55

I am already logged into SFDC our production and sandbox orgs on chrome. I logged out of the sandbox org just to test it, no luck. I opened a new IE window and was prompted to login into SFDC then it worked fine.  I figured out what I needed without it but you did not have to logon to access these documents before, shouldn't they be easily accessible?

I used the official link from the document archive.

Hi,

Authentication layer has been introduced for Online Help for all releases. Details have been highlighted in detailed Release Notes (page 5 in What's New section) and also in this community post.

We are actively working on resolving issues related to session timeouts and 404 errors. Please do share feedback here if you see any other issues.
