We have requirement to forecast Work Orders to be created by PM Engine for next one. Today, We generate PM Work Orders 180 days in advance with Custom schedule and recurring schedule. We would like to forecast the number of Work Orders to be generated by PM engine between 180-365 days from Today per each Month. This info would help us to understand the workload expected with the number of WO to be generated each month. We would like to know if any field on PM plan which can give us the count of WOs To Be Generated and Number of WOs already generated. We could not find any field(out of the box) with these detail on PM Plan object
If we have custom schedule defined at PM Template level, we get all PM Schedules created and we can calcualte number of WOs to be generated in each month based on Scheduled On date on PM Schedule and based on One Per Plan or One Per Product value.
We have a few PM Templates with Recurring schedule defined, the PM plans created using this Template would have PM schedule created one at time. Once PM schedule is processed, next month/quarter/year schedule will be created. We would not have all the PM scheduled create when recurring PM template is used. How do we forecast the WOs to be created this PM plan? Any inputs would be appreciated.
Hi Sandeep, We may have a customized (non-vanilla) version of the PM Tool, but on SVMXC__PM_Schedule__c object there is a field SVMXC__Scheduled_On__c that should tell you when the next Work Order will be created (in your case 180 days in advance if I understand you right?). This is on PM Plan Level though, so you may need the SVMXC__PM_Coverage__c object as well to determine how many Work Orders will be generated. I never realized it, but your question helps me: we may be able to define a new custom field on SVMXC__PM_Plan__c to calculate a rollup summary of the related Coverages and we would be able to report straight out of Salesforce .
Thank you for your inputs. This would work if we have custom schedules created under each PM Template. When we have PM Template with Recurring schedule then PM Schedule wouldn't create for all the recurring months/years. It creates one schedule after other when previous schedule is processed. In this case, we do not have not fields on PM Plan or schedule, which would help us to calculate no. of WO to be generated in the future until End date of PM Plan.
