Has anyone experience an issue with the service report pdf generation?

What I mean is we seem to get two files coming back from the iPads a .html file and a .png file containing the signature. However the pdf does not generate?

Hey Judith,

ServiceMax have fixed the issue, but don't have a fix to correct retrospective.

To get around the issue you need create a visualforce output document exactly as the same layout as the SFM Document and append the signature file when you generate the new output document.

That's the only way we could get around the issue.

It is an unnecessary cost for something that isn't your fault!!

I have heard rumors that ServiceMax will bring-out a patch at the end of March 2015. But no official announcement. Is anyone is having more information on this?

Yes, we occasionally get this problem, it seems to be related to slow sync speeds when you technician is in an area of poor connectivity (well it is for us )

Did you set via Settings on the Winter 15 Ipad APP the "select request timeout (in Mins)" to 10?
App Version is 15.20.003 and ISO 8.1.3 or different?

I have seen this issue with every version of ServiceMax version I have used. 

Russell, you are right i think this issue usually occurs when sync times are above the norm.

Hi Russel, thank you for your comment on this question. Do you have a suggestion on how to resolve the issue once the html and png files are attached as documents to the work order? Or will it be solved automatically once there is a better connection?

I have the same problem, despite seemingly fast sync times.  I also get grey placeholder images for the logo graphic and the signature graphic in the pdf.

Any ideas..?

Can you check with Winter 15 app version 15.20.017 or higher / Spring 15 app (15.30.004)? This issue has been addressed in these versions. Related defect number SMX012197 is included in the list of fixed issues in the release notes.

Hi

We have upgraded our version of the app to Spring 15 (v15.40.033) and we are still getting reports of this happening, not many thankfully, and does seem to be in our German subsidiary only, so i'm not if they are having more connectivity issues compared to the other users.
