Lookup Configuration - Is it possible to configure a Multi-Picklist as matching field for a Lookup-Context?

Dear all,

I am currently searching for a way to configure a Multi-Picklist field as "Matching Field" for Lookup-Context configuration, as this would avoid having to use the Advanced Lookup functionality and creating child-objects to realize the requirement.

Usage-Scenario is the Lookup for a "Software Version" record on an Installed Product. We would like to enable our business to create available "Software Versions" to their product types. Those product-types could be selected using a Multi-Picklist on the "Software Version" record (like defining "This software is suitable to be used with product a, b, c .."). As a result, a technician would only see the Software Versions that CONTAIN the product type of the installed product record they're currently editing. But it seems that context-lookup always uses operator "equals" and there is no possibility to change it to "contains".

Does anyone ever faced a similar issue and has a solution on hand?

Many thanks in advance & best regards,

Jan
