We need a feature where the Parts Pricing & Service Pricebook (Labor) can be configured on the Installed Product record for Non-Contract Work Orders. As we have technicians from certain countries which cross the border to serve customers of other SSO's (Sales and Service Organization) and there they have their on Labor Rates and sometimes also parts pricing the rates can't be determined by the user whom is creating the work order.
We also have a backoffice whom is processing and needing to correct non-contract work orders of SSO's from multiple countries. And we have accounts with multiple installed products would could have different rates for labor and parts depending on the vendor.
I suggest to create two new lookup fields on the Installed Product record, 1 for Parts Pricebook and 1 for Service Pricebook (labor). We can easily create logic to populate the correct pricebooks on the Installed Product record. That plus a setting in the SVMX Profile to follow the Installed Product defined rates instead will solve this problem.
We have various service profiles for which we now have to create separate SVMX and SFDC Profiles for each SSO because of the difference in rates determined by the SFDC user/userprofile and this resulted in not 4 different user profiles for salesforce but 130 salesforce user profiles which makes if very unmanageable, especially as our environment is getting more diverse all the time.
Currently because lack of this feature it is blocking future projects!
How is the problem being addressed today, if at all?
There is no solution, we have to uncheck use price for pricebook and manually input the rates for parts and labor.
