Using a SFM to populate latitude and longitude coordinates..?

Has anyone created a button (or similar) on a SFM Transaction that updates the latitude and longitude coordinates of the (Work Order or Location) record, using the native GPS hardware of the (iPad) mobile device?

(The idea being that the field engineer can update the record's coordinates to the exact place that (s)he is currently standing, for future reference, with one click).

If so, what approach did you take?

Re: Using a SFM to populate latitude and longitude coordinates..?

Hi Aidan, have you looked at the ServiceMax Functionality to capture this at a set time interval?

https://userdocs.servicemax.com/ServiceMaxHelp/Summer17/en_us/svmxhlp.htm#MFL/GPSLocationTracking.ht...

This looks like it supports that at least for MFL. I think it should work for the Classic Apps for iPhone and iPad as well but havent confirmed with testing or documentation.

Regards, Richard
