validate fields in SFM that are not needed on the page layout

Jump to solution

Is there a way to validate fields on an SFM validation rule without putting the validated fields on the page layout (or make them invisible on the layout)?

It seems that the validation for a null in the field does not work unless the field is on the page. If the field is not null, it works ok regardless of whether the field is on the page or not. However, if the field is null it needs to be on the page for the validation to correctly assess it.

Putting the fields on the page clutters the pages so can we have an attribute on the fields, on SFM pages to not display them?

Hi Mark,

Great question.  This is something I can put in as an enhancement request, but yes, right now as it stands, the field needs to be on the page for the null valued field to be counted.

Thanks,
