Situation Customer wants to change the display of the calendar in the Dispatch Console to match either the salesforce locale, or a day of their chosing.
Observed behaviour Using a calendar widget in the DC shows a calendar whose first day is Sunday. This confuses non-USA users. It is not currently possible to affect this behaviour.
Expected behaviour Same as Salesforce. Under Salesforce, if the user's locale is US, all calendars displayed by SF display calendars starting on a Sunday. If the locale is set to for example UK, the week starts on a Monday in the calendar.
Steps to reproduce
check user's Locale, set it to US
navigate to a record that has a date element, for example work order, and click to set a date to bring up the calendar. see that the first day is a Monday
open the DC, bring up a calendar by assigning a work order, see that the week starts on Sunday
change user's locale to UK
again in a SF record, bring up a calendar
see that the week now starts on a Monday
reload DC, bring up a calendar widget, see that the week still starts on a Sunday
Impact Customer would like this implemented, but has not stated it to be a blocking issue.
What is the underlying problem do you intend to solve with this idea?
adjust calendar week view to a European view (Mon-Sun)
How is the problem being addressed today, if at all?
