Define new type of dispatcher - any assignement require an approval

Hi,

I encounter a use case where I need a dispatcher of team A to be able to dispatch resource from team B. Then team B should be able to inspect this request and approve/not approve it.

Basically instead of simply defining dispatcher under a service team it would be great to define "Approved" dispatchers which are working as it defined today and "Approval Needed" dispatchers which are allowed to see the allocation and assign a resource BUT it must be approved by a real service team dispatcher.

Thanks

Nir

Status changed to: Not Planned

Hi Nir, interesting use case. This would require linking a workflow to the assignment of a job to a resource, which is something we currently do not plan to introduce.

It may be possible to handle the scenario by adding a new Appointment status (e.g. "To be approved") and mandating that only an "approved" dispatcher can confirm those assignments. There would be no way to enforce the rule, but it would be fairly easy to audit it.
