We are implementing a green field SVMX process on org.
Wanted to block of calendar of technician on DC(dispatch console), currently using 19.3 and going to update to 20.1 in next month.
Service board is not enabled, no business hours or org holidays is implemented as we use a shared org.
As today we are uploading the events manually for all the technicians from Workbench., we are not willing to give change to technician to select the holiday.
So any automation is possible to implement this based on global holiday calendar based on the region of the technician.
Here is what you can do:
1) Create a custom object called ""Holiday Calendar" with holiday name, region and year as fields
2) Create a batch class which would run every year in the month of December which would pick up all the technicians from each region and creates events with specific subject and name of the holiday.
3) In the DC, you can configure color coding rules based on subject to show those type of events in a specific color which would give the indication to the dispatchers that those are public holidays.
