Is there a way to restrict visibility of the Activity history for myself/ Yourself? Also, is there an option to turn -off Activity history from being visible in the pubic domain to unregistered users?
Your personal container is where your documents and discussions that are Hidden or limited to Specific People are stored. Unfortunately, I don't see an option to hide or limit the audience when posting content or when upload documents. I don't see those options so maybe they are set so only Admins can see them right now.
To see your documents and discussions that are limited to only you or specific people, go to Content > Authored > Documents | Discussions and then select Filter by personal content. A dark lock icon next to the item indicates it is limited to you; a light lock icon next to the item indicates it is limited to you and the other people you designated.
I found this in the help: You may want to keep entire categories of content private or even secret, for example accounting or human resources information. In that case, you would create a space or group with the content visibility options that you need. Unfortunately, To learn more about that, be sure to read the topics in Managing Permissions in the administrator documentation.
Shyam - I still can't find a setting to control who sees your Activity History. It must be an admin configuration setting. Maybe Deirdre Yee can ask the Jive support how we can control that.
Hi Mike and Shyam,
Personal content can be saved in Draft mode or shared with only specific people/ places to limit visibility (pretty much what Mike Monin provided)
Currently the community does not allow Guests so unregistered users don’t see anything in this community. When we switch that flag to allow guests we will share the new security settings. Activity history includes all your activity from your view, but not everyone can see it. For example, I just posted in the Community Launch group, but only a select few will see that content anywhere on the site.
